Booking Information


There are five opportunities to book for this spectacular performance:

Tickets are £15 (full) and £12 (concessions). There is also a Group Offer of £10 a ticket for groups of 8 or more but this can only be booked by telephone on 01792 475715.

You can book online by clicking the 'Buy Tickets' button at the bottom of this page which will take you offsite to our Box Office run by The Grand Theatre, Swansea.


The show is mainly promenade - the audience will be guided on foot from Swansea beach near to 360 Café, to the Brangwyn Hall. The performance is partly outside so please wear suitable clothing and footwear for all weathers, and avoid bringing large bags. The performance is not suitable for children under 12, babes in arms, or dogs (except guide dogs).

Now the Hero is a multi-art form production. It is in the English language but does contain some elements of Welsh.

Parts of the performance take place outside. The performance will go ahead whatever the weather. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and be mindful that weather conditions can change.

The promenade performance is approximately 2.5 hours long. It takes place on the beach, and within and around the Guildhall. The terrain is mainly flat but there are steps into and within the Guildhall/Brangwyn Hall.

The majority of the performance will be experienced on foot/standing. Limited seating will be available during parts of the indoor performance. Due to the duration and themes of the performance the recommended age limit is 12 years and over.


Please collect your wristband from the event Box Office next to 360 Café, Mumbles Road (pictured below). Pre-booked tickets must also be exchanged for a wristband. Box Office opens at 5.30pm. Please arrive no later than 6.10pm.

Public transport: A bus service is available. The nearest bus stop to 360 Café / NTH Box Office is: Mumbles Road opp Cricket Ground, St Helen's.


Westbound: Road closures will be in place at the time of the performance:


There are toilets on site.

Light refreshments will be available to purchase from our mobile catering van, Bibby’s Beans, near to the Box Office.


Now the Hero is a promenade performance which begins on Swansea Bay and takes the audience through the Brangwyn Hall. You will be standing or walking for a lot of the time. The terrain is mainly flat but there are steps into and within the Guildhall/Brangwyn Hall.

The performance is wheelchair accessible but please do let us know at the time of booking if you are a wheelchair user as provisions are being made to access parts of the performance. Standard-sized wheelchairs only.


There are limited beach buggies available at each performance. Pre-booking is therefore essential.

We advise all audience members not to bring large bags or rucksacks to the performance (in excess of: 35cm x 40cm x 19cm). If you are coming from outside Swansea please plan ahead.

Bags may be security-checked on entry to the Guildhall. We cannot guarantee storage for any bags.
