More Poetry is needed - a statement that has become synonymous with Swansea via Jeremy Deller’s iconic art work for Locws International located to the rear of The Quadrant Shopping Centre. As a response to this powerful slogan we’ve invited local legend and Dylan Thomas uber expert Jeff Towns to park up his famous Dylan Thomas Book Bus infront of the Castle in Castle Sq and curate readings of poems and short stories specifically about Swansea by the likes of Thomas of course , Vernon Watkins, Amy Dilwyn , Joe Dunthorne . With a particular focus on the Poet Edward Thomas who was killed in action during the Battle of Arras during WWI in 1917- read by the people of Swansea - from passing shoppers to invited famous Swansea Jacks.
