Open Days at GRAFT : a soil based syllabus the new garden project at the National Waterfront Museum; a commission by Now The Hero / NawrYr Arwr and the museum, working with artist Owen Griffiths.
GRAFT : a soil based syllabus is described a new system of practical pedagogy, centering around a raised bed model and custom-built making studio. Working with volunteers and community groups, the garden is a new resource for the museum where an intergenerational curriculum of outdoor learning and making is connected to food and collaboration.
The project is supported by Cae Tan, a community supported agriculture project based on the Gower, as well as other local groups and partnerships. Come and meet lead artist Owen Griffiths and the community engaged in the projects, as they host an open garden weekend with refreshments, tours and demonstrations of the projects and processes at work in the garden.
Also on at the National Waterfront Museum, there will be a chance to see The Munitionettes exhibition in the Colonnadeand The Aftermath of World War One exhibition on show in the Red Wall Gallery.
